A make-up artist is an artist whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and prosthetics for theatrical, television, film, fashion, magazines and other similar productions including all aspects of the modeling industry. I strongly believe that makeup is one of the most impactful ways to express yourself. Everyone’s idea of beauty is different and individual to them, whether that is all-natural to full glamour. Your face is the first thing others see when connecting with you for the first time. Creating a positive first impression of oneself is so important and easy to achieve. Each and every application I do is specifically tailored to that persons’ personality, image, skin type, and style. As a Makeup Artist working on my own for the past 2 years I have helped clients look their best for various occasions including weddings photo shoots and professional media appearances. I provide consultations to assist clients in choosing the kind of look they hope to achieve and I am up-to-date on the latest trends in cosmetology. I am educated in specialized techniques for different mediums from daylight special occasion photography to looks for on-camera settings. I possess a solid understanding of color trend and am capable of choosing palettes that enhance the complexion and hair color of my clients. Past clients have praised me for my vision and eye for detail. I have great people skills and make those sitting in my chair feel instantly comfortable.
Though It was quite difficult for a science student to switch in the makeup industry and set up a career, many things keep me motivated. My love for makeup is based on my passion for art. When I was into arts as a child I often look at pictures of celebrities in magazines. As a young teen I suffered from Severe Acne and I started to research skin conditions, treatments and was constantly trying to find ways to conceal i. I often watched different makeup tutorials on YouTube and try to apply to my friends or on my own skin. I skip my university classes to attend makeup seminars. Through these experiences I moved on to eventually become certified, nowadays I m known as ASHISH BAROLIA a Professional Makeup Artist
