The journey of growing older is a glorious one. And for many people, it is a roller coaster ride with its own highs and lows. Growing old is a timely concept that humans have created. Some are as old as 24 years and on the other hand, some are as young as of 90 years of age. We are always the same age inside, the perfect one!

“Don’t worry about getting old, it’s a privilege denied to many”, it is said. Sigh! You must have heard your seniors and elders constantly talking about being old. You yourself would have started using this phrase now.

However, it is time to look at the brighter side of aging. It is not about losing your youth but represents a new stage of strength and opportunities. The laws of nature cannot be escaped by anyone but we can grab the opportunities that our present age offers us and be young at heart and work forever. What are you waiting for? You’re old enough to know better and young enough to do it anyway! Getting older has no connection with living a monotonous life contrary to the current generation setting its trends and aspirations. Take the example of Salman Khan, one of India’s most popular actors. He is probably older than you are yet younger because, you know, “Tiger Zinda Hai”! What we mean to say is that growing old should not be a barricade to levelling up in life or striking a pose at a photo session.

One thing that always takes people back is the question, “At this age of life, am I fit for taking up a new thing or learning something from scratch?”Well, we have got news for you. Yes, you can. There is never really age for anything in life. Why not take on life head-on head and live like a legend all the time you’re here?

GET GOING WITH EXERCISE

Exercising might be the last thing on your mind at this point in life. However, physical activity is what will boost energy levels and it is linked to improving vigour and overall quality of life. People who are fit and active have a greater sense of self-confidence. So no matter if you are 25 or 52, get those sports shoes on and get, set, go! 

HOW YOUR YOUNGER SIDE

Be with youngsters and be one like them. Make a pout or take selfies with them. It is not just this. Maybe you can try to bring a change in your wardrobe with clothes that are trending and make you look and feel young. You never know when the youth starts finding you as a role model!

GET SMART

Not looks but knowledge are the new young. The moment you engage yourself into the activities one likes in their youth like the latest fashion trends, an action movie or the new song that beats the heart of youngsters, you have automatically leveled up. Therefore, your heart stays young for as long as you breathe!

TRY A NEW PROFESSION

There is always something you wanted to do before you started working at a boring office cubicle or became a homemaker.  You can achieve all that now! Why not try modelling if you wanted it to, you probably have a jawline that youngsters die for or you can become a chef if you want to cook up some exquisite cuisines for people. Perhaps, you can join a singing class if you think there is a chance of you releasing an album. There you go! You have levelled up again.

LEARN WITH THE KIDS

We have been emphasizing about engaging with the youth. It may take time to approach and build relations with them. It may also look weird if you approach a basketball team or a group of models to take you along. The solution is to turn to your kids. They are the current generation running the trends. Your children will teach you everything about social dealings, shopping for jeans, running smart devices and food choices. It is just a matter of being aware and your kids will do that for you for free.

The body may get old but the heart will always stay young!
